Our San Diego SC – Stone Rejuvenation Package is the next level above our San Diego SC – Cleaning & Sealing Package. This package was designed as a five step process to address three vital maintenance concerns for natural stone: 1) Cleaning 2) Refinishing 3) Re-Sealing. The SD Stone Care “Rejuvenation Package” would be utilized when it has been determined that your stone floors are in relatively good condition with little or no scratches, only 2-3 holes needing to be filled,  1-2 etches ( dull spots), and the factory finish just needs a little more shine. This is our most economical stone care package that will literally “Rejuvenate” your floors to near new condition.

 San Diego SC – Stone Rejuvenation Includes:

 

  1. Cleaning: Apply appropriate cleaning solution and allow to sit on surface for 10-15 minutes. Machine & hand scrub area. Followed with a self contained pressure washing & extraction rinse. (Our pressure washing & rinse is a specialized tool which keeps all the water on the area being cleaned.)
  2. Etches (dull spots): Depending on size, the removal of two to three etches is included with this package. (Excessive etching and surface marks will require our Renovation Package.)
  3. Fill  Holes: The filling of three holes is included with this package. (If floor has excessive amount of holes this will then require our Renovation Package which includes filling of all holes)
  4. One Step Re-Finishing : Unlike other companies, which usually only offer one finish, SD Stone Care offers three different one step finishes: 1) Honed – Matte looking finish 2) Satin – Polish Finish 3) High Sheen Finish. (This process will reduce the visibility of smaller scratches, however, any medium – large scratch removal will be considered an additional cost. Excessive amounts of medium – large scratches will require either our San Diego SC – Renovation Package or Full San Diego SC – Restoration Packages)
  5. Sealer: One Application of Penetrating Sealer especially manufactured for Natural Stone.

  • Filling Holes: N/A (Hole can be fill for an additional charge please point these out to stone consultant.)
  • Etches (dull spots): N/A (Etches can be removed for an additional charge please point these out to stone consultant)
  • Scratches: N/A (Scratches can be repaired for an additional charge please point these out to stone consultant.)
  • Scratch Removal (This would require our “Renovation Package” or scratches can be remove “ala carte”)
  • Lippage Removal – Where one tile is higher than another & you would like the floor completely flat: (This would require our “Restoration Package”)
  • No Hand Tool Edge Polishing – Will Blend to Current Finish with Floor Machine.
  • Large Furniture Moving: SDSC is not responsible for moving of large items, beds, china cabinets, entertainment sections in order to have access to areas being serviced. If these items are not moved SDSC will perform services around these items.
  • Important Notes: The applications of Proper Sealers for natural stone DO NOT add any SHINE to your stone. Their purpose is to make cleanup of any dark liquid spills easier before they can possible stain your stone and grout. In addition, SEALERS DO NOT PREVENT FUTURE ETCHING (dullness due to spilling of any acidic liquid of food.)

What is the difference between  San Diego SC –  “Cleaning & Sealing Package” and the San Diego SC –  “Rejuvenation Package?

  1. When it comes to ceramic & porcelain tile, as well as grout, the necessary maintenance is a restoration cleaning about every 2-5 years.
  2. However, when it comes to the maintenance of natural stones such as; Travertine – Limestone & Marbles…cleaning is only one of three necessary steps.
  3. Many people assume that cleaning alone will remove “etches” (dull spots) because they believe these are “stains” and will be removed during cleaning – NOT TRUE
  4. Many carpet cleaning companies will tell you that cleaning alone will hide, reduce or remove scratches – NOT TRUE.
  5. Finally if your stone finish is lacking the sheen it used to have …then cleaning alone WILL NOT bring back the shine.
  6. SD Stone Care’s “Stone Rejuvenation Package” will not only clean your tile but will also include removing a few etches, reduce the appearance of scratches, and rejuvenate your stone back to its original shine. All at a price that is usually about the same cost you will pay your carpet care company to “Only Clean” your natural stone.
