Travertine

Travertine: A variety of Limestone that is a precipitate from hot springs. This is why all travertine has holes, some worse than others, and why you have “unfilled” and “filled” travertine. Some travertine can take a high polish and are know commercially as a “marble”. However, most Travertine finishes are Honed Finish or Satin-Polished. (Sensitive to acidic solutions especially those with a high polished.)
